Joshua Groth is a New York based creative and artist. After receiving his BFA in Musical Theatre from UW-Milwaukee and moving to New York City, he has been exploring aspects of his professional career, including technical design, directing, and performing. Previously, he has worked with Manhattan School of Music, LIU Brooklyn, Broadway Theatre Center, Milwaukee Rep, Forte Theatre Company, Kith & Kin Theatre Company, and others. He is thankful to everyone who has helped him along the way and hopes to inspire future theatre practitioners through creativity and connection.

My ear controlled my body. It followed music bouncing off the hallway walls. Possessed. Enchanted. I climb stairs, turn a corner, trace my hand along the rough brick wall as the music grows clearer. Louder. "Why would a..." ... "a" ... "so" .... words. words. words.
And louder.
Turning the corner, peering through the window in the door, two vibrantly colored dresses twirl, dance, and sing. I am mesmerized.
The song ends. The dresses and I locked eyes.
Embarassed, I run.
The feeling stayed. Free. Expressive.
